A horizontal carousel is an automated storage and retrieval device consisting of a series of linked bins mounted on an oval track. Fitting the unique material handling needs of manufacturers and distributors, horizontal carousels enable a relative large inventory to be directed to a picker or automated material handling device at one or several fixed locations.

When activated, the bins in a horizontal carousel rotate to bring the required items to the operator or an automated picker. This allows for retrieval of the items from the bins by the picker or picking device.
