Power Column 2 VLM
The White Vertical Lift Module is an enclosed automated high-speed, high-density storage unit housing trays of items that are stored and retrieved. Moving up and down, its center is an inserter / extractor system. The extractor stores and retrieves trays, from vertically positioned slots on the front and rear of the unit, and delivers them to its ergonomically designed pick window or workstation. A laser points to the tray section where the item is located.

The VLM has a heavy duty drive based on a rack & pinion system. Custom refrigerated and freezer models are available. White's Power Column 2 vertical lift module takes advantage of unused overhead space found in many manufacturing and distribution facilities. Enhanced productivity, greater security and space savings of up to 90% give PC2 users a significant edge over their competition.

VLMs enable a relatively large inventory to be directed to a picker at one fixed location. By eliminating the climbing, reaching, and bending necessary to pick from multiple levels, VLMs produce a more efficient "parts to picker" instead of "picker to parts" workflow—increasing worker safety and productivity.
